We had a really great performance at The Lucky Bean in Melville on Sunday 7th Feb 2010.

If you haven’t yet been to the Bean check out the fantastic food and the exceptionally friendly staff.

What a great place. Big lovers of music and a taste for quality and style.

We will definitely be back as soon as we can.

Thanks to Conway and his LB team.

Our first series of ’silent’ gigs

January 15th, 2009

We’ve finally had a run of 5 gigs involving the complete Tonik package. Visuals, headphones for everyone and great audiences.

Our aim with these gigs was to try this new concept on friends and family almost as a test to see if it worked and what people thought of it. We’ve had an overwhelming response from absolutely everyone who came to see and listen and people were wanting to come back again and again. The weather played along nicely and even added a lot to the music especially in the forest when the wind caught the treetops. So the Tonik concept has been born: Unconventional locations, intimate small crowds, exquisite sound with your own headphone set, accompanying vj art projections by the wonderful Marcii Goosen…an unforgettable experience for sure.

A big thanks to all who’ve helped and had a hand in making this concept possible. We’ve really enjoyed playing the music in exactly this way. Many more to come!!

We’ve uploaded a couple of photos from the gigs, as well as a youtube video.

Full moon magic. Moving images-wind and gentle breeze, two gentle men - Arvo Part would be proud - the sound is one I can never tire of. We sit with still minds and open hearts. Thank you. Safe and contained within the headphones. Always listening and receiving - never to be repeated. I am quiet but celebrating ! -peacefully, Justin
